Here’s the entry level luxury sedan from Toyota for the year 2021

The popular Toyota Camry sedan gets a mid-cycle upgrade to stay on par with the competition. Updates are limited to minor cosmetic changes including a reprofiled bumper, with new design for the inserts, much similar looking to the ones on the internationally sold new-gen Corolla. Furthermore, the Camry gets new 17 and 18-inch alloy wheel designs and modicum cosmetic touches to exteriors. The Rear-end gets a reworked LED tail-lamp cluster.

Jumping inside the car, interior trims are slightly redone to give a fresher look, Toyota has replaced the old 8-inch infotainment unit with a new, larger 9.0-inch touchscreen unit. The infotainment software has been updated and Toyota claims it has helped improving the input response.

On the safety front, the standard safety kit comprises lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, road sign assist, as well as intersection turn assist, this detects vehicles or pedestrians crossing the car’s way while turning at a junction.

The new Camry will retain the same hybrid powertrain as the previous model. The 2.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine clubbed with an electric motor churns out a maximum of 218 hp. Power is sent by means of a CVT automatic box to the front wheels.

The outgoing model Camry is priced at Rs 39.02 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Though there is no official word yet, We expect the carmaker to launch the New Camry by 2021. The Camry Hybrid competes against the Skoda Superb in India.
