Tata Altroz Dark Edition Priced At 8.77 Lakh | All Details [ UPDATED With 2023 Prices!]

India’s safest premium hatchback gets a Black edition- meet the Altroz Dark!

Tata Motors had previously recently launched the Altroz Dark edition in India. The Dark edition sits at the top of the Altroz lineup and is essentially a visually pumped-up version of the popular hatchback. Dark edition is available in just the top-of-the-line XZ+ variant of the Altroz. There are three different engines on offer on the regular Altroz- a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.2L turbocharged petrol, and a 1.5L diesel. However, the DARK edition is available only on the petrols (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged -iTurbo).

The naturally aspirated petrol XZ+ Dark bears a price tag of 8.78 lakh (ex. showroom) while the iTurbo XZ+ Dark is priced at 9.43 lakh, ex-sh. We would have liked a Dark edition on the diesel Altroz as well, as it is the diesel version that we think is the most competitive, as a package. Th Altroz is in fact, the most beautiful car in its segment. The Black colourway further accentuates its aesthetic quo. The Altroz Dark comes finished in the Cosmo Black shade. The R16 alloy wheels get a dark tint finish and there are multiple #DARK mascots as well. The hood gets a premium dark Chrome ornament.

The cabin has a dark Granite Black theme, with a new metallic gloss Black finish for the mid pad and dark-themed leatherette upholstery with deep Blue Tri-arrow perforations, which you would not find on the door pads. The seats come with deco Blue stitching and the front headrests get the #DARK insignia embroidered on them. The cabin looks more premium with the new colours in place. However, the fact that the new colour scheme imparts a sense of being Claustrophobic on the rear occupants should also be mentioned.

The Dark edition Altroz remains mechanically unchanged. No biggies have changed on the equipment list either. However, like the other Dark edition cars, the Altroz too comes with a factory-offered puncture repair kit.

UPDATE: February 2023 Prices Of Altroz Dark Edition In Kerala

As of February 2023, Tata Altroz Dark Edition is available in a total of 8 variants spread across the petrol, turbo petrol, and diesel iterations. There is now, a wider range of options to choose from. The recently launched mid-spec Dark variants- XT and XTA (automatic) deliver ample value along with the stealth colourway. Further, the Altroz diesel also gets the #Dark suit in two distinct variants- XT and XZ+. Below is the updated price list in Kerala.
