The Royal Enfield Classic 350 becomes the first motorcycle on the UCE platform to go BS6 compliant!
The Classic 350 is one of the top-selling models for Royal Enfield in India now. The manufacturer has now launched the BS6 version of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 for a price of INR 1,66,315.
The RE Classic 350 is the first motorcycle built on the Unit Construction Engine (UCE) platform from Royal Enfield to join the league of BS6 bikes in India. The Classic 350 with dual-channel ABS will now be available in two new paint schemes- Stealth Black and Chrome Black, in addition to the existing shades.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 now gets Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) tech to further improve the overall refinement and driveability. It is still a 346cc mill doing the job in the Classic 350.
However, it appears that the engine power and torque figures have been re-tuned to still be appealing while meeting the BS6 emission norms. The new paint schemed bikes will get alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as standard fitments.
Speaking about the launch of the new BS VI compliant motorcycles, Mr. Vinod Dasari, CEO of Royal Enfield said, ‘Royal Enfield believes that sustainable growth comes from thinking ahead and deploying long-term strategies.
The directive by the Government to adhere to the BS VI emission norms is a welcome move as it is one of the first steps towards transitioning to the future of mobility. This not just ensures cleaner technology and sustainable mobility but also puts the Indian automotive sector ahead of its global counterparts.
We have ensured BS VI compliance as mandated well ahead of time in the current portfolio to ensure a seamless experience for our existing and potential customers. We are confident that this will further enhance customer confidence in the brand and welcome more people into the world of pure motorcycling.”
These bikes come with a three-year warranty and complete three-year roadside assistance as well. The other Royal Enfield bikes will go BS6 by March 31, 2020. For bookings and more information on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 head to the Royal Enfield Official website…
