Say Hello To The New Mercedes Benz C Class Facelift India ; Starts At 40 Lakhs!

Comes in three trims, viz- C220d progressive, C220d Prime and the super stylish C300 d AMG Line

A long, desperate wait has now come to fruition as Mercedes Benz finally launched the facelifted C Class in India. The C Class has been one of the top selling models for the German carmaker for years now and has been receiving regular updates internationally as well as in the country all the time. The latest of these had happened recently when the global market witnessed the launch of the fourth generation car. India’s wait for the car since then finally sees a happy close with the model being introduced into the Indian market with highly appealing price tags.

The all new C Class will be available in three trims- C 220d Progressive, C 220d Prime and C 300d AMG Line, with them getting all new, first in class, BS VI diesel mills. Dubbed OM 654, the new motor offers more output and has drasticaly reduced noice and vibration levels as well. With a displacement of 1950 cc, this inline four engine is so set across the range that it delivers 194 hp and 400Nm in the C220 and a massive 245 hp and 500Nm in the C300 AMG line. Both the trims get the car maker’s new-gen 9 GTRONIC gearbox.

The fifth gen gets better aesthetics inside and out and more of new age equipment than the model it replaces, the new 10.25 inch media display screen or the new generation telematics, NGT 5.5 smartphone integration, for instance.

As obvious from its name, the C300 AMG line gets the flair of a baby AMG on the aesthetics front, with the interiors now flaunting the elegance and sportiness of saddle brown and black upholstery options.

The outside is well distinguished from the other trims by the AMG inspired tweaks to the front and rear aprons and the new MULTIBEAM LED headlamps on offer.

Mr. Michael Jopp, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Mercedes-Benz India, after launching the product, told the media :
