Mad About Wheels Partners With Shema E Vehicle And Solar PVT LTD For EV Business

The strategic partnership with Mad About Wheels would help SES sell volumes in the EV space

Mad About Wheels is a company that is into the EV business. Primarily focused on providing extended warranties for EVs, this Gurugram -based startup has now announced a strategic partnership with Shema E Vehicle And Solar Pvt Ltd for their EV business here. Mad About Wheels will take care of building marketing strategies, AMC service, warranty guidelines, and sales for the OEM.

Shema E Vehicle & Solar Pvt Ltd or SES as they are better known today is an electric two-wheeler manufacturer with a strong customer base in Eastern India. However, recently the company underwent some major internal restructuring and is now planning to launch its high-speed lineup here. This time around, they have plans of achieving a pan-India presence in the EV space.

The all-new product range from SES would have very high degrees of localization gone into it. The upcoming SES manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana (near the Maruti Suzuki plant) would soon start operations and would be able to pump out large volumes of the EV models with as much as 80% localization gone into them.

SES has clear-cut plans for the EV game. The manufacturer plans to launch as many as three new products soon, of which two would be high-speed offerings. While details of these are yet to surface, we do know that one among these would be the high-speed version of TUFF, a commercial-spec electric scooter that can carry payloads of up to 150 kilograms. The made-in-India SES Tuff would come with a three-year warranty program. Shema might also bring in the latest generation Eagle family of e-scooters with over 80% of localization, and range figures of 65-160 km.

Mad About Wheels has plans of setting up a separate vertical for the sales of the Shema electric scooter range. Established in 2019, this startup has extensive experience in various sectors related to the EV business, which will benefit the OEM for sure.
