2021 Honda City Hatchback Unveiled, Will Go On Sale In Thailand Soon.

Honda City Hatchback

Fancying a hatchback based on the Honda City? Well, here it is…

The City hatchback is very much similar to the City sedan, built on the same platform and both share major chunk of the body panels. The horizontally placed tail lamp units, a sportier bumper design with vertically placed faux air vents as well as a contrast black rear faux diffuser are very well drawn out which bestows on the hatchback a cleaner and appealing look.

The images here show the sportier iteration of the Honda City hatchback, The RS Turbo with sportier elements like a blacked-out grille and the 16” alloy wheels finished in dark chrome like the City RS Turbo sedan sold in Thailand. The interiors are no different from the sedan as expected, except the hatchback gets Honda’s innovative rear seats which can be split in a 60:40 fashion, folded down to add up to the boot space.

The car measures 4349mm in length, 1748mm wide and 1488mm tall. Comparing the figures with the third-gen Jazz we have here, the City hatchback is 314mm longer, 53mm wider and has 59mm longer wheelbase.

The Honda City hatchback is to be offered with a 122bhp 1.0L turbo petrol sending power through a CVT box. Honda is expected to launch the City with other engine options also, depending on the markets. The City hatchback is to replace third-generation Jazz in some markets, but unfortunately, that might not be the case in India, Honda will continue with the third generation Jazz here.
