Great Wall Motors Showcases Haval Concept H At Auto Expo 2020

After the success of SAIC-owned MG in India, Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors is readying to enter India with Haval brand, showcases the Haval Concept H at Auto Expo 2020…


The Chinese automotive brand Great Wall Motors (GWM) has officially set their foot on the Indian automotive sector by showcasing their sub-brand Haval at the Auto Expo 2020. Haval has showcased a number of models like the F5, F7, H9, Concept 2025 and the concept H.

The Haval Concept H, essentially a plug-in hybrid SUV, comes with a profound resemblance to the GWM Haval F7 in design, definitely looks more dynamic. Upfront, the chrome-lined grille, LED headlamps and fang shaped indicator lights add to the overall aggressiveness along, with the T shaped LED tail lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, GWM has gone for a minimalistic motif with a fabric inlay over the dashboard made appealing with an LED bar stretching over its width. Head up display for the driver, an additional display screen for the co-driver, digital instrument cluster, floating touchscreen infotainment system, touchpad for gear selection and a touchpad on the door for other functions are the features to be mentioned about, along with a substantial panoramic roof. Haval H concept is also crafted with an autonomous braking and a forward collision alert system as well.

Powered by a BS6 compliant turbocharged engine, the Haval H concept is expected to be launched in the petrol and diesel versions, even though the electrified version could be expected quite soon. The Haval H concept expected to hit the roads by 2021 at a starting price of around INR 15 lakhs, is presumed to compete with Kia Seltos, MG Hector and the new Hyundai Creta.
