This Hyundai Motor India State-Of-The-Art Manufacturing Plant Is Ready With ‘Technologies of Tomorrow’ For Another 20 Years!

 The carmaker has plans of expanding its production capacity from 7 Lakh units to 7.50 lakh Units in 2019 by Smart Engineering!


India’s second largest car maker and the largest car exporter Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has now announced its state of the art manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur to be ‘Future Ready’, ie, all equipped to meet the revised Safety and Emission Norms well, in advance before its mandatory industry implementation in 2019.

The Hyundai Mega Manufacturing Plant boasts of Futuristic Technologies to carry out the production process. Recently the Hyundai plant had achieved the milestone of rolling out the fastest 8 millionth car in India.

Spread across a stretch of 535 acres , the plant is equipped with over 590 Generation 4 Robots, Quality and Testing Capabilities along with Flexible Engine Plants to cater to the needs of India as well as the global Market and currently runs at almost 100% Capacity Utilization.

The car maker also has plans to boost the present Production capacity of 7 Lakh Units to over 7.50 lakh Units by 2019, solely through Value Engineering and without any future investment.

The plant, at present, is capable of meeting the BS VI technology and Car and Pedestrian Safety Norms and Hyundai is now offering airbags and ABS as standard on all models.

In compliance with the Government of India’s vision of bringing out electric vehicles in India, the Hyundai Smart Plant is now gearing up to produce electric vehicles locally.
