JLR Rolls Out First Range Rover Made Under Social Distancing

The JLR facility in Solihull functions with strict safety measures for the employees

Jaguar Land Rover had recently restarted production at their Solihull plant. The plant has since been functioning with stringent safety measures in place. Effective social distancing is being observed in the plant and its premises. In addition to this, various health and hygiene monitoring measures are also in practice there. Special thermal cameras have been installed to monitor employee temperatures and ample amounts of PPEs have also been provided to the workers. Jaguar Land Rover had recently hit the news by making reusable face visors to battle COVID 19. A unit each of the same is being provided to the employees here.

JLR is manufacturing huge amounts of hand sanitizer at the facility and is supplying the same to its workforce. Wherever the work demands a breach in social distancing, the employees are being provided with the appropriate PPE. Thus a safe and hygienic workplace is being ensured for all.

Following the resumption in production, JLR has rolled out the first Range Rover produced under social distancing. The production has also restarted at the Slovakia and Austria facilities. The team at Wolverhampton had started building Ingenium engines last week. The JLR plant in Changshu (China) has been operational since mid-Feb. We hope for a quick restart of the other JLR plants and a timely revival in sales as well.
