The Range Rover Velar gets a bunch of new features and the latest Ingenium engines for 2021

The Velar has been a highly sought-after model in the Range Rover lineup ever since its debut in 2017. The SUV has, over the years, built a strong owner-base in India as well. Land Rover India has now launched the Range Rover Velar 2021 here from INR 79.87 lakh. The new Velar comes in just the R Dynamic S trim.

Almost all the design elements of the previous Velar have been retained. The LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, large panoramic glass roof, 20 inch 7 spoke, Style 7014 alloy wheels, and signature flush door handles are present on the new car as well.

While the overall design and layout of the cabin have been retained, a number of key feature additions have happened on the new model. The perforated seats get Light Oyster Morzibe headlining and 14 way memory function (driver only). The new features onboard the Velar include 3D Surround camera, cabin air ionization with PM2.5 filter, and the new Pivi Pro infotainment system paired with Meridian premium audio.

The mechanicals of the Velar have also been revised on the MY21 car. The SUV now features JLR’s latest updated Ingenium engines which offer more efficiency and lower emissions. The all-new Velar is available with petrol and diesel powertrains. The 2.0L Ingenium petrol engine makes 247hp and 365Nm while the 2.0L diesel engine churns out 200hp and 430Nm. AWD is standard on both the iterations. The petrol Velar can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 7.5 seconds while the diesel takes 8.2 seconds for the same.

The ongoing pandemic has brought in a shift of business to digital, and JLR has addressed this quite well too. The Findmeasuv platform can be utilized to place orders for all Land Rover products, where the new Velar is listed as well. Land Rover has already begun the deliveries of the SUV.
