2021 Kia Carnival gets a new range topping Limousine+ trim

Kia India has launched the 2021 Carnival here, from Rs 24.95 lakh. The luxury MPV gets a number of changes for 2021. It now gets Kia’s new corporate logo and a careful revision of variants and the features they offer. The carmaker has added a new Limousine+ trim to the Carnival now, which would offer more appeal and enthusiasm to the buyer with the additional features and equipment on offer. Earlier it was the ‘Limousine’ that used to top the range. The entire variants and their prices have been revisited to ensure a more value proposition for the Indian buyers. The Carnival 2021 is now priced in the Rs 24.95- 33.99 lakh range.

2021 Kia Carnival Highlights

Kia Carnival was a daredevil move by the Korean marque’s Indian vertical. The luxury MPV was introduced right after the first product, Seltos, which had then been taking the markets by storm. The Carnival had a segment of its own. It sat well above the comparable MPV offerings in both the pitch and the price. As it turns out, Kia India has sold over 8000 Carnivals so far, despite it being a pricey MPV and the havoc caused by the pandemic.

With the refreshed Carnival and the new top-of-the-line variant in, Carnival sales are expected to strengthen further. The key highlights of the refreshed Carnival are new VIP Premium leatherette seats with leg supports for the second row, 8-inch AVNT with OTA support, and UVO connect, electrochromic mirrors, 10.1 inch rear-seat entertainment system, air purifier, etc.

While these can be had on the Limousine variant, the top-spec Limousine Plus has additional gizmos like Harman Kardon premium 8 speaker audio system, electronic park brake, 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, driver seat ventilation, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, wood trims inside the cabin, dual inch entertainment screens for the second row and a Highline TPMS. The updated Carnival also comes with 18-inch crystal cut wheels as standard across the variants.
