2020 Hyundai Creta: Two African Elephants Can Stand On It And It Would Still Be Intact, Serious AF! [Report]

An African elephant can weigh anywhere between 2.5 to 7 tonnes. Now imagine the strength of the all-new Hyundai Creta, sigh…

Reports suggest that the Hyundai Creta, in its latest iteration, possesses epic body strength. As per the latest news, the all-new Hyundai Creta has been built so strong as to withstand two African elephants standing on it! We know that sounds absolutely insane, but this is how strong Hyundai India claims its newest SUV offering to be.

An African elephant can weigh anywhere between 2.5 to 7 tons. Hyundai claims the superstructure of the all-new Creta to be so strong as to safely withstand loads of up to 12 tons! This phenomenal strength and rigidity have been attained by using high strength steel in manufacturing around 74.3% of the structure. This has also resulted in limiting the weight to a mere 279 kilograms.

The new generation Hyundai Creta gets features like trio beam LED headlamps, 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, Lightning arch C pillar, LED rear lights, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electric parking brake, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, touch-operated air purifier etc.

There would be three new engines on offer on the new Creta: 1.4L petrol (115 PS/144 Nm), 1.5L diesel (115 PS/ 250Nm) and 1.0L turbo petrol (140PS/242Nm). There will also be a set of 4 different transmission units mated to these engines, including 3 automatic boxes available. Hyundai will launch the car in India on 17 March 2020. The pre-bookings are now open for a deposit of INR 25000
